Abhinaya Natesh, Lauren Vanderdeen and Jennifer Gauthier are among B.C.'s best, as they're nominated for journalism awards at the BCYCNA Ma Murray Community News Media Awards.

The Burnaby NOW and New Westminster Record are proud to announce three of their journalists have been nominated for seven Ma Murray Community News Media Awards in 2023.

Her two video-journalism pieces include one for the NOW on the beauty of cricket featuring Burnaby’s IndCan cricket club, as well as her Record article on the world-renowned Indian classical arts couple Cassius Khan and Amika Kushwaha and their Mushtari Begum Festival.The NOW and Record’s freelance photographer Jennifer Gauthier is up for three awards.
