Transit police recommend charges against 29-year-old in connection with incident that sent man to hospital with serious injuries.
The suspect, who is known to police, has been identified as a 29-year-old man from Burnaby. Transit police said in a press release that they will be recommending charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
The arrest follows an early-morning incident on April 15. A man and his girlfriend were riding a SkyTrain through Surrey just before 1 a.m. when “there was an interaction between the victim and another male passenger,” police said.
