Burnaby is one of the numerous municipalities digging out after a major snowfall hit Metro Vancouver on Tuesday night .
Environment Canada has ended its snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver, but drivers are cautioned to continue to take care on the roads this morning. They added the decision to send your child to school or not is ultimately "a family one," asking parents to notify schools if their children would be absent.
"With snow falling, Burnaby RCMP would like to remind drivers to clear their vehicle of snow," a Twitter post read. "We will be out doing enforcement during the snowfall in an effort to make our roads safer. Please clear your vehicle of snow and ice and ensure you have appropriate tires. In some cases tickets may be issued when drivers are causing hazards for themselves or others.
