Trill Burgers is part of Bored & Hungry, a restaurant based on the Bored Ape NFT.
The Bored & Hungry packaging is based on Nguyen's Bored Ape. He sees the restaurant as"a place to educate those skeptical about this new world. They like to call it a jpeg but we wanted to show them that we're building a new ecosystem."
Trill Burgers launched in August 2021 at a Stick'y Chicken pop-up, a collaboration between Bun B and Nguyen, a California-based culinary entrepreneur; and siblings Patsy and Benson Vivares of Sticky’s Chicken. It's currently drawing big crowds daily at RodeoHouston. "The amazing thing about the NFT space is the opportunity for rapid growth," Bun B says."With Bored and Hungry, it opens us up to a worldwide community."
“The goal is to give back to the growing Web 3.0 community and open the doors to those who want to learn more about this new Web 3/NFT world,” Nguyen said. “Our job is to educate the public about this new future world, and show people that you can create a brand/business out of this IP – taking away the stigma of, ‘It's just a jpeg.’”Joey Guerra is the music critic for the Houston Chronicle. He also covers various aspects of pop culture.
