President Moon Jae-in of South Korea designated BTS a special presidential envoy for future generations and culture at the General Assembly, and the group’s seven-minute speech was both relevant and moving. “I’ve heard that people in their teens and 20s today are being referred to as COVID’s lost generation,”BTS’s RM. Vaccine resistance and lack of access are still among the largest stumbling blocks in the global response to COVID-19, with almost half of all Americans still unvaccinated as of September.
