Brush fire burns 10 acres near Dulzura [Breaking]
Firefighters in the air and on the ground attacked a 10-acre brush fire that ignited Sunday afternoon south of Dulzura near the U.S.-Mexico border, a fire official said.
The fire was reported around 12:10 p.m. in rugged and hilly terrain near Marron Valley Road and Otay Mountain Truck Trail. About 95 firefighters were working to stop the fire’s spread as of 1:30 p.m. Two water-dropping helicopters and two air tankers were assisting, Cal Fire San Diego Capt. Thomas Shoots said.He said no homes were threatened and no evacuation orders or warnings were issued.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury, but further details about the injury were not immediately available.
