The Bruins are shaking up their lines ahead of Game 4 against the BlueJackets.
Backes has been a healthy scratch since Game 4 in the opening round against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 35-year-old is expected to skate on the team’s second line alongside David Krejci and Jake DeBrusk.
Historically, Backes has thrived against the Blue Jackets. His 21 goals and 24 assists in 53 career outings against Columbus are both personal bests. Bruce Cassidy on the B's approach to Game 4: "We went through it a couple weeks ago, we were down…we’re a resilient group. I think our guys understand what’s at stake."
