The Browns have traded Donovan Peoples-Jones to the Lions.
They traded their 2020 sixth-round receiver out of Michigan to the Lions for the same round he was drafted in -- a sixth-rounder in 2025.
Peoples-Jones will likely be replaced in the lineup by rookie Cedric Tillman, the Browns third round pick out of Tennessee. Tillman has barely played this season, and has been inactive a few times, catching only one pass for 5 yards. It’s time for him to step up and contribute in the second half of the season.
They inquired about players at a number of positions, including receiver and quarterback. It’s not yet known if they tried to acquire Commanders pass rushers Montez Sweat or Chase Young, who were both dealt on hours before the deadline.
