Then Browns

1. With rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson starting for Browns, ESPN’s Jake Trotter had some stats. Since John Harbaugh became Baltimore’s coach, the Ravens have a 22-7 record vs. rookie QBs.

3. It was a tough entrance into the NFL for DTR. To his credit, he was facing a good defense. He didn’t look overwhelmed, although he was shaky at times. He was 10 of 17 passing for 60 yards. His longest pass was 15 yards to David Njoku. No other pass was for more than 7 yards. The Browns gave him a lot of short, safe throws.

5. The Cleveland crowd was loud early, Baltimore committing a pair of false start penalties in their first six possessions. But later in the half, Myles Garrett lined up in the neutral zone ... TWICE. No excuse for that. He simply needed look down the line of scrimmage and see where the ball was before it was snapped.

7. The Browns defense gave up its longest drive in the year in the second quarter. Baltimore went 93 yards in eight plays for a TD. The Browns defense had some major problems defending the run on that drive. Baltimore had one pass for 36 yards to tight end Mark Andrews. All the rest on the ground. That includes six consecutive runs over 47 yards. Jackson scored from 2 yards out.
