Kapanen played 106 games for St. Louis before being claimed off waivers by Edmonton on Nov. 19.
Blues: St. Louis activated defenceman Nick Leddy from injured reserve after missing the last 49 games with a lower-body injury. With his return, the Blues' six defencemen against Edmonton have played a combined total of more than 4,500 games.Trailing 1-0, the Blues had a golden opportunity to even the game midway through the second period as Jake Neighbours found himself in all alone on a breakaway, but Skinner turned him away with a stick save.
