Brooks: Calgary Crime Stoppers Ruby Gala helps combat crime yyc
A capacity crowd gathered in the Wainwright Hotel at Heritage Park on April 22 to support Calgary Crime Stoppers and its commitment to creating a safer community. The Ruby Gala, as the event was billed, featured many highlights, including welcome remarks from David Blain, president of Calgary Crime Stoppers Association and client executive with BFL Canada; an address from former Lt.-Gov.
Kudos to everyone involved in the success of the gala including volunteer committee members Mark Gerlitz, chair, and his wife Sharilyn Nagina, Jennifer Elias, Shen Gaidhar, Ann Calvert, Monique Auffrey, Trevor Naish, Sonja Silenzi, David Blain and Terry Meiyeppen. As noted by Chief Const. Neufeld, when we’re silent, we’re all victims. If you see something that looks nefarious, make sure to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
