But there is understood to have been no significant movement and the 20-year old striker will therefore link up with head coach Thomas Tuchel and the rest of his squad in the coming days. The Albania international is the subject of interest from West Ham United and Everton, although Chelsea's plans for him remain unclear.
Broja spent last season on loan at fellow Premier League club Southampton, scoring 13 goals in 45 appearances for club and country.
