The number of building permits and the estimated cost of the building permits in Brighton was down in April compared to last year.

The municipality reported 12 building permits at an estimated cost of $3.58 million for the month of April.Among the building permits are four permits issued for semi-detached lots on Rabbit Road.To date, a total of 43 building permits at an estimated cost of over $11.8 million have been issued for 2023.

That’s down from the 66 building permits at an estimated cost of over $15 million issued at this point last year in 2022.
