Tyrone boss pulls no punches on 21 point defeat by Dublin at Croke Park.
TYRONE boss Brian Dooher says their performance in the 21 point Division 1 Croke Park defeat by Dublin was “a bit of an embarrassment.
“There’s not much to take out of that, to be perfectly honest,” said the double All-Ireland winning skipper. “For one reason or another, we just weren’t at the races there, and we were punished every time we made errors, well and truly punished for it, and rightly so."It wasn’t good enough- disappointed in our application, and our general intensity and workrate wasn’t near where it should be.
Tyrone were without front line players, including Peter Harte, Conor Meyler, Frank Burns, Conn Kilpatrick and Michael McKernan. They also started without two of their best young performers in this current campaign, Seanie O’Donnell and Ciaran Daly, who both came on during the second half.
