Like many young dreamers, Brett had a wild idea in high school. But unlike most, he acted on it—taking a fictional record label pitch to. It was a bold move, but even though the Dragons bailed out, it got him noticed and gave him his first taste of the music business. But his biggest break came unexpectedly. After sitting in with blues legend Walter Trout during a show in Victoria, Trout offered him a spot on his European tour. Brett didn’t hesitate. He jumped at the opportunity and learned invaluable lessons about showmanship and dedication from Trout along the way.
