On Monday’s first game of the doubleheader against the Braves, the left-handed Baty blasted his first career homer against a lefty pitcher in Atlanta’s 9-8 win.

“I’ve always said the game is the same throughout. It’s just the outside factors that change,” he said. “Trying to step out there and be the best player I can be. The way I view lefties versus righties, they have to come over the plate to throw strikes so whenever they come over the plate, I’m gonna try to hit it hard all over the ballpark.
