67-year-old apprehended in Wawa after fleeing the scene on Saturday evening
A Brantford resident has been charged with sexual assault following an incident that occurred at a business in the 900 block of a Great Northern Road business on Saturday evening.
Police say that at approximately 9 p.m., 67-year-old Blaine Weeks “touched the victim for a sexual purpose without consent. The accused and the victim are not known to each other.” Weeks fled the scene prior to police arrival but was later apprehended by OPP officers in Wawa around midnight and transferred to the custody of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at approximately 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning.
