A large donation from the Brandt Group to CNIB will help bring more training programs and recreation to blind people in Saskatchewan.
“Brandt has played a significant role for many years in the work of the CNIB,” said Christall Beaudry, vice-president for Western Canada at CNIB. “A donation of this magnitude will measurably increase our ability to deliver important services throughout Saskatchewan and across the country.”
The CNIB is still using leased space on Broad Street in Regina, only a short distance north from its former location. Controversial because of its location in Wascana Centre, the project was suspended in March 2019 as the provincial auditor announced a review of whether proper processes were followed during approvals of major developments in the park.
