Paul Sheppard of Nova Scotia Legal Aid appeared for the 13-year-old and asked that his charges be put over as well.He said they need “a little bit more time” to review the evidence that has been disclosed by the Crown.RCMP announced the charges Feb. 14, saying officers had responded Feb. 7 to a report of threats at Eastern Passage Education Centre, which has about 490 students in grades 6-8.
“Officers worked closely with the school to gather initial information, which included the seizure of cellphones,” the release said. “That same day, it was determined that the two youths involved did not have access to firearms, other weapons or the school.”On Feb. 8, police executed search warrants at two homes and seized multiple electronic devices.
