An eight-year-old boy was killed and a pedestrian was seriously hurt after a snowplow dump truck and an SUV collided on an icy B.C. highway, according to police.
Investigators hope witness video will help them learn “exactly what happened” in the collision that caused the SUV, a green Kia, to spin away from the snowplow, striking a pedestrian, a 57-year-old man, who received life-altering injuries. Police say the boy who died was in the SUV with his 44-year-old stepfather, who was driving, and his five-year-old brother. The stepfather and brother reported minor physical injuries, and the family lives in the Nelson area.On Tuesday, the investigation into the collision continues.
