After six straight Brier trips and a 2021 title as Bottcher’s third, he joined Tanner Horgan this season and is calling the games for the Northern Ontario champions. They beat Saskatchewan 9-3 Wednesday morning at Budweiser Gardens to improve to 5-1 and on the cusp of a playoff berth along with Manitoba’s Matt Dunstone and Alberta’s Kevin Koe.

“I had a few things going on, and when you go through a year of that, you start to wonder if you can heal,” Moulding said. “Now, I’ve seen I can, and I’m healthy and excited. I lean on the guys for that energy and knowledge. I love that hunger they have, and my experience comes in handy.
