The Boston Bruins have announced the signing of Boston Bruins defenseman Jackson Edward to a three-year, entry-level contract worth $860,000.
Edward’s real bread and butter is playing a strong physical game. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound defender had a career-high 110 penalty minutes last year and tallied four PIM in two separate games this past week. Edward was one of six players taken by the Bruins, with second-rounder Matthew Poitras sitting at three goals and four points in six games with Boston this year. The Bruins also previously signed defenseman Frederic Brunet to an entry-level contract after taking him 132nd in 2022.
