Boris Johnson and his fiancée Carrie Symonds have named their newborn son Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson, with the name Nicholas chosen to honor two doctors who saved the British prime minister's life.
Symonds made the announcement on Instagram, saying that the baby's first two names are in honor of Johnson's grandfather and her grandfather, respectively. She added that the third name Nicholas was chosen in honor of two doctors, Dr Nicholas Price and Dr Nicholas Hart, who treated Johnson while he was battling COVID-19 in intensive care last month.
