Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs and Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb advocated for improvements to Arizona's border security, but from different perspectives.

Governor Katie Hobbs took questions on Feb. 28 on a slew of topics, but mainly focusing on her recent visit to the southern border, saying she wants to make a few changes with funding and try to better equip those living in border communities.

She made her second trip to the border since taking office in January – meeting with border patrol agents, local officials, farmers and migrant health care workers."We are pushing to get FEMA dollars released. That is going to be incredibly helpful, and we are continuing to have ongoing communication with the Biden administration about what we need when Title 42 goes away," she said.

For now, Hobbs’ focus is on how state dollars can help, even if that means moving things around, like the Border Strike Force implemented by former Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.
