“I'll never forget the day ... It was less than a month, maybe two months later one of them came in. I can't remember who it was, but he came in , ‘We caught a perpetrator on one of our bikes.’ I don't think the intention was ever to really necessarily catch anybody. It was more about being involved in things and just kind of be seen a little bit more for sure,” Goldston said, recounting the story of a busted shoplifter.
“I'm physically exhausted when I get home some days, most days and I'm mentally exhausted,” Fitzgerald said.
