Bomb squad detonates possible explosive device on Interstate 15 on-ramp in Miramar [Breaking]
A bomb squad detonated a possible explosive device on an Interstate 15 on-ramp in Miramar Thursday, authorities said.
A CalTrans employee found the device around 11:15 a.m. on the Miramar Road on-ramp to south I-15, California Highway Patrol Officer Jesse Matias said. CHP officers shut down the on-ramp and called in the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department bomb squad, which used a robot to check out the device, Matias said.By 2 p.m., the bomb squad had detonated the device. No injuries were reported.No further information was immediately available.
