Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in an altercation with an intruder at his Mumbai residence early Thursday morning. Media reports indicate that Khan underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital after sustaining six wounds, two of which were deep, including one near his spine. According to Press Trust of India, a doctor at the hospital confirmed the injuries. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when the intruder reportedly broke into Khan's home and stabbed him before fleeing.
A female employee at the residence was also injured during the attack and is receiving treatment. Khan's wife, renowned actress Kareena Kapoor, released a statement assuring fans that their family was safe and requesting patience and refraining from speculation as the police conduct their investigations. Khan, a prominent figure in the Indian film industry, has starred in approximately 70 films and television series. He is also a successful movie producer and is the son of former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and celebrated Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore. Throughout his illustrious career, Khan has garnered numerous accolades, including seven Filmfare Awards, the highest honor in Indian cinema.
