BREAKING: Body found in search for missing boy, 13, who was swimming in river.
Officers searching for a missing 13-year-old who got into trouble in a river near Ovingham, Northumberland, have found a body, Northumbria Police said.
Northumbria Police said the teenager’s body was found following extensive searches by the force’s marine unit.‘Formal ID has yet to take place but we believe it to be the missing boy.‘His family are being supported by officers & our thoughts are with them at this awful time.’ Officers searching for a missing teenager who came into trouble in the river near Ovingham yesterday have sadly found a body.
