ActionNewsJax.com News StaffPALATKA, Fla. — Putnam County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a body was found after a car drove off Browns Landing Boat Ramp early Monday morning.
Putnam County rescue personnel reported on Facebook that units were on the scene after a vehicle crashed into the water. They said that the car was possible occupied, so the PCSO Marine and Dive Team is looking for a body. The FHP online map said that troopers were dispatched to assist in the investigation at 12:14 a.m., but the investigation has since been passed to PCSO.
PCSO said that although a body has been located, there is no other information available at this time.
