GIG HARBOR, Wash. — A fire erupted on a boat at a Gig Harbor marina early Friday.
Gig Harbor firefighters were called to Harborview Drive at 3:07 a.m. Friday and arrived to find one boat well-involved in flames. With the help of West Pierce Fire & Rescue’s fire boat “Endeavor,” the fire was quickly knocked down and firefighters were able to contain the flames to one boat, though a second boat has minor damage.
Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One is working with the Gig Harbor Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard, Washington State Department of Ecology and the Pierce County Fire Marshall.
