The BlueJays have placed infielder Breyvic Valera on the restricted list.
Am told Valera has had trouble getting out of Venezuela, which is why he hasn't reported to Jays yetToronto claimed Valera off waivers from the San Diego Padres on July 2. The 28-year-old did not report to camp for reasons that were not given, though Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith reports that Valera has had trouble getting out of Venezuela.
