The BlueJays will be without Devon Travis for the foreseeable future after the second baseman underwent surgery to repair a small meniscus tear.
Travis, 28, recently had surgery to repair a small meniscus tear in the knee and will miss significant time this season.Travis missed games in both 2016 and ’17 with a bone bruise in his right knee before hamstring soreness sidelined him late last season.
He had arrived at training camp healthy and aiming to be an everyday option for new manager Charlie Montoyo.to a one-year contract worth US $1.5 million on Monday.
