The Blue Bottle Coffee at San Francisco's Mint Plaza in SoMa is scheduled to close next week.
Employees at the 66 Mint St. cafe will be transferred to other nearby Blue Bottle cafes, according to the sign. Neighboring locations include 705 Market St., 168 2nd St., 199 Sutter St. and 55 S Van Ness Ave. SFGATE could not reach Blue Bottle for comment in time for publication.
Blue Bottle began in 2002 as a stand at Oakland farmers markets and was acquired by Nestle in 2017. In late 2021, Blue Bottle in Jack London Square, having moved its headquarters years prior. Today, the chain has about 100 stores — not only in the U.S., but also in Japan, South Korea and China.
