Seth Jones has agreed to a contract extension with the Blackhawks after a trade from the Blue Jackets.
Shortly after the Blackhawks made a huge splash to acquire the star defenceman from the's Chris Johnston.
Jones has one year left on a six-year, $32.4-million deal so the extension will begin in the 2022-23 season. Details of the trade remain fluid, but defenceman Adam Boqvist and at least one first-rounder are heading to Columbus.blackhawks-sign-seth-jones-eight-year-extension-trade-blue-jackets
