Famous for the role it played in the Beachcombers TV series, Molly's Reach is a popular Gibsons landmark.
According to a post on the Facebook page of Black Bean Café in Gibsons, the popular eatery is closing.“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of the current Black Bean Cafe location at the end of January 2025. While this closure was not part of our original plans, it comes as a result of our landlords not renewing our lease due to "a family decision,” the Facebook post said.
“After the initial disappointment, we began to see this as an exciting opportunity. We know that in many ways, we have outgrown our cozy little space. With that realization, we are thrilled to share our next chapter with you: coming soon... Molly's Reach by Black Bean Cafe! “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years and made the Black Bean Cafe feel like home. We can’t wait to welcome you back and see all your familiar faces at Molly's Reach!”
Coast Reporter has been attempting to reach the owners of the café and will update this story as more information becomes available.
