His administration will also release preliminary guidance on how Medicare will begin negotiating prices for 10 drugs with pharmaceutical companies for the first time this fall, Biden’s chief domestic policy adviser Susan Rice said on a press call Tuesday. A 2022 estimate from Medicare’s board of trustees determined the fund would run out of money by 2028 if nothing is done. Biden aims toa year to help keep Medicare solvent over the next few decades.
