New polls show former vice president Joe Biden leading President Trump in the state of Georgia and in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district, two places where Democratic presidential candidates rarely win and which hold down-ballot races that may prove pivotal for control of Congress.... [+]from Republican firm Public Opinion Strategies shows Biden narrowly leading Trump in Georgia, a state Democrats haven’t won since 1992, by 1 point, 47% to 46%.

The U.S. Senate race in Georgia is also tight, with Republican incumbent David Perdue leading Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff by 2 points, 43% to 41%. In Georgia’s special U.S. Senate election, Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler, who was appointed to the seat in December, narrowly trails Republican challenger Doug Collins, with 18% to Collins’ 19%, while Democrat Matt Lieberman is at 17%.released Tuesday showing Biden leading Trump by 11 points in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district, which allocates its own electoral vote in presidential elections that has been won by just one Democratic presidential candidate since 1964.
