President Joe Biden, who is set to face Donald Trump in November's presidential election, spoke after Trump's press conference on the verdict in New York.
President Joe Biden said that the reaction of former President Donald Trump to his conviction in criminal hush money charges was "reckless" and "dangerous."
Trump earlier held a press conference at Trump Tower in New York condemning the criminal case, which involved a payoff before the 2016 election to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump, 77, was convicted Thursday in Manhattan Supreme Court of 34 felony counts related to a scheme to conceal hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
"Donald Trump was given every opportunity to defend himself," Biden said. "And it was heard by a jury of 12 citizens, 12 Americans, 12 people like you, like millions of Americans who served on juries."
