“We just kind of follow our numbers,” GreenPal co-founder Gene Caballero said. “When we see homeowners and vendors organically signing up, we know this is the market that we need to launch. When we saw that, and we knew that Cleveland was one of those cities that we needed to launch in the summer of 2023.”are required to be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and Social Security Number. They also need a valid bank account and must submit pictures of previous work with references.
Once vendors finish their jobs, they are required to submit time-stamped photos of the work they did. Homeowners can also upload photos and leave reviews.Caballero said the company, which keeps 5% from each transaction, strived to make the app simple to use. “A lot of these apps are very complicated and we want it to be as easy as possible for you to sign up in one minute. All you need is the address, the date you want it done, and an email address to get bids,” Caballero said.
