Police said a Ford Ranger was stopped when a bicyclist hit it for unknown reasons.
A bicyclist is being treated after crashing with a Ford Ranger and suffering “possible life-threatening injuries” on Sunday morning, according to state police.
The two vehicles were in the 2100 block of Vine Street, Londonderry Township, around 11:12 a.m. when the crash occurred, police said. The Ranger was legally stopped on the eastbound shoulder when the bicyclist rode up directly behind the truck, police said. For unknown reasons, the bicyclist hit the back of the Ranger, police said, with the bike settling 3 feet from where it hit.
The driver of the pickup was not injured, but police described the bicyclist’s injuries as possibly life-threatening.Information on the people involved was redacted from the report, along with information on where the bicyclist was taken for treatment.
