The Toronto Blue Jays snatched a 5-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in a spring training game, with Bo Bichette's home run and a walk-off blunder by Phillies pitcher Konnor Ash proving decisive.

Bo Bichette contributed two hits, including a home run , while Philadelphia pitcher Konnor Ash walked in the winning run as the Toronto Blue Jays edged out the Phillies 5-4 in a spring training matchup on Sunday. The Phillies ' relief pitcher Griff McGarry started the bottom of the seventh inning by surrendering singles to Leo Jiménez and Matt Whatley. A wild pitch allowed Jiménez to score from third, tying the game at 4-4.

Walks to Alan Roden and Davis Schneider loaded the bases, prompting the Phillies to replace McGarry with Ash. However, Ash walked Tyler Heineman, bringing home Whatley with the decisive run. The game's final two runs, largely attributed to Philadelphia errors, contrasted with the earlier innings where the first six runs were produced by home runs.Toronto's Daulton Varsho initiated the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning. Kody Clemens countered with a solo shot with two outs in the second, tying the game. Bichette launched a two-out homer for his second hit of the afternoon, putting the Jays back in the lead 2-1 in the third. The Phillies regained the lead thanks to Gabriel Rincones Jr.'s two-run homer in the top of the fifth. Steward Berroa then tied the game at 3-3 with a homer in the bottom of the inning. Rafael Marchán scored the final Philadelphia run with an RBI double in the sixth. Toronto starter Max Scherzer struck out four batters over 3 2/3 innings, yielding only Clemens's homer. Alex Amalfi struck out two in a scoreless seventh to earn the win, and Chad Green secured the save with a perfect ninth. The Blue Jays improved their spring record to 5-3 and will face Detroit next Monday in Lakeland, Florida.
