have teamed up with agent Adam Kluger’s Scoop Investments to invest $1 million in Lox Club, a private, membership-based dating app for Jewish people with “ridiculously high standards,” according to the announcement.
Lox Club was founded in late 2020 by Austin Kevitch, Alec Lorraine, and Will Neild, who serve as CEO and engineers, respectively. According to the announcement, “The team prides themselves on being not ‘cringey’ and the Lox Club stands out for encouraging more personable conversations and connections.
“Lox Club values authentic, well-rounded people with ambitious dreams and careers, who can make you both think and laugh, regardless of their Instagram following,” it continues. “Lox Club is like a deli; it’s culturally Jewish, but you don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy it. The community is curated via an application process with a membership committee considering several variables when deciding if an applicant is a right fit for the community.
Kluger’s agency, TKA, has a history of pairing celebrities with businesses, but this is their first venture in pairing celebrities to investments through the new Scoop Investments. Kluger, who managedBhabie, is currently her business partner on a variety of businesses and also works with Yachty, crafting a variety of deals including collaborations with Reese’s Puffs, eBay, Adidas, and Burger King.
Kluger began partnering brands with music videos in 2008, starting with Lady Gaga’s “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” video by placing products in the production. He now runs an indie record label, Nontra Records, Nontra Artist Management, as well as Scoop and TKA.
