BGT child star Hollie Steel claims 'song choices are fixed' and 'they didn't want me to win'
Former Britain’s Got Talent child star Hollie Steele has claimed that the hit ITV show’s “song choices are fixed” and that they “didn’t want me to win”.
Other impressive acts in the memorable 2009 series of Britain’s Got Talent included father-son duo Stavros Flatley, young singer Shaheen Jafargholi, singer Susan Boyle and the eventual winners, dance group, Diversity. Fans of BGT might remember Hollie, as an overwhelmed ten year old, breaking down in tears in the semi-finals of the show, whilst in the middle of performing Eidelweiss from The Sound of Music, which she claimed she “had never heard of before”.
"They were like 'no you can't sing that' and the only reason why I think they said no - because I was definitely able to sing it - was that they didn't want me to win."
