The music community is mourning the loss of legendary soul and R&B singerMusic stars like John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Ledisi, DJ Khaled and many more took to social media Sunday to pay tribute to Wright, who recently"I loved being around Ms Betty Wright," Legend tweeted."She was always so loving and giving to younger artists. Always engaged, always relevant. She will be missed.
Wright is known for such classic hits as"Tonight Is the Night" and"Clean Up Woman," and she took home a Grammy Award for"Where Is the Love" in 1975. R&B singer Ledisi paid tribute to Wright on social media, thanking her for being a"master teacher" and"one of the greatest soul singers in our industry."
