Coming out of the MLB All-Star break the Cleveland Guardians are sitting first in the AL Central but only just ahead of the Minnesota Twins. Are they a good bet to win the division? Here are the odds:

But moving into first place in the division does make a bet on them to win the division or make the playoffs quite possible in the Guardians’ futures bets.
Looking at the Guradians’ win total of 81.5, that falls right on their average through the first 90 games where they are 45-45. If they were to split their remaining 72 games and win 36 more games, that would take them to 81 wins and fall under that total. To me, each of the division, win total and playoff Guardians futures bets come down to if you feel they can play over .500 ball the remainder of the way. Even a few games over .500 would give them a realistic shot of betting the ‘yes’ on some of those futures. But if not, it will likely be a season without playoffs in 2023.
