The National Arts Centre will be buzzing with activity this Family Day weekend, thanks to the return of the Big Bang Festival. The schedule is packed with musical adventures for little ones, ranging from mini-concerts in backstage rooms to the tinkerings of Diogenes’ Shed, a mechanical orchestra.
The band, which includes guitarist Kyle Jordan, trombonist Peter Turner, clarinetist Scott Poll, and tuba virtuoso Keith Hartshorn-Walton, delivers the sounds of New Orleans in a breezy style that attracts everyone from the young swing-dance set to the wise old jazz aficionados.
