Bartlow accomplished an incredible amount in her 16 years. She was fluent in three languages and conversational in another , was a member of Berkeley High’s cheerleading squad and was enrolled in the academically rigorous International Baccalaureate program. “Our hearts go out to the family of Lillia Bartlow at this very difficult time. Lillia was a wonderful and promising young person who will be deeply missed at Berkeley High School and in the BUSD community,” the Berkeley Unified School District said in a statement shared with SFGATE. The district also noted that counseling support has been made available to students, and teachers have shared grief support resources with students in their classrooms.
Our hearts break with the tragic passing of Lillia Bartlow. Great person, student, athlete, and cheer teammate.
