ICYMI: “I know that they’re honest. I know that they’re going to look after people to the nth degree, and to me, that’s the most important thing,” said Faye Doucette.

Paul Daigle, left, and Bill Sampson move a spray of flowers after a funeral service at Belvedere Funeral Home on March 1. The pair took over the business at the request of former owner Faye Doucette in October 2022. - Alison Jenkins/SaltWire NetworkCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — When Faye Doucette began considering retirement, she knew who to ask about taking over the Belvedere Funeral Home.

“Whatever the families want, we’ll do our very best to accommodate anything that they want,” said Daigle.“Funeral service is not really a job, per se, it’s more of a calling or a ministry," said Sampson. “When you’ve got that passion to serve people, it just kind of all comes together.”“We’re here to serve people and we want people to know that we’re here to help them through these times.
