The host Bellingham Bells defeated the Victoria HarbourCats 6-3 in a West Coast League baseball game Saturday night at Joe Martin Field. The game featured the two top teams in the North Division with the Bells moving to 14-3 and the HarbourCats going to 14-6.
Nick Dumesnil, Jack Johnson and Michael Crossland each hit doubles for Victoria. Reliever Jake Finkelstein took the loss for the HarboutCats. The Bells, who won the opening game of the set 2-1 in extra innings on Friday night, and HarbourCats meet again this afternoon in Washington state to close out the series.
The HarbourCats cross the border to begin a three-game set Monday night in Kelowna against the Falcons. The HarbourCats return home Friday night to begin a three-game series against the Bells at Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park.
