Another big star is set to join the cast of the upcoming Beetlejuice 2, with The Hollywood Reporter noting that Willem Dafoe will join.
According to the report, Dafoe will play a law enforcement officer in the afterlife, although the exact details of his character are currently unknown. Most of the film’s plot is being kept close to the vest, with little known about the project at this timeDafoe will join a cast that’s quickly growing into a star-studded affair.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Jenna Ortega would be starring in the film, with Michael Keaton reprising his role as Beetlejuice, while Winona Ryder will also return to play Ortega’s mother. Catherine O’Hara,Beetlejuice 2 will once again be directed by Tim Burton. This marks Burton’s feature directorial comeback after last helming Disney’s live-action Dumbo in 2019.
